Walking!
Ally is really walking now! After two months of messing around taking steps now and then but resorting to crawling when she actually wanted to get anywhere, she has made the leap. She does an excellent Allyzilla impression. Cole thinks it’s great and lets us know whenever she walks.
His best line of the last couple of weeks was one morning when we were eating breakfast. He said “Peepee, go away! I’m eating breakfast!” Alas, it didn’t and he had to get up and go potty before he finished his breakfast.
Ally continues to understand more and more, giving hugs and kisses on demand among other things. It’s really fun watching her turn into a person. Today she grabbed my coffee and spilled some. I told her “no no” and got it away from her. Cole said, “Mommy, she’s just a little baby…sometimes she spills things.” Gee, where do you think he’s heard that?
Cole started his new preschool on the 1st. So far he seems to really like it though he’s definitely tired at the end. As I write this, he’s pretending to be a hermit crab (like the one in school), hiding under the pillows on the chair.
