My work here is done!
Today we finished development and testing of SourceForge Enterprise Fusion, the product that I’ve been working on at VA Software for nigh on a year and a half.
I’m excited about this release. We’ve worked very hard to make it a slick, professional product. In my 12 years of professional software development, most of the software I worked on sank without a trace and it was hard to really take a lot of pride in it. Gallery, while it’s been phenomenally successful, is not really part of my professional career (yet!) so I can’t really count it. SourceForge Enterprise Fusion, is a really high quality product that looks like it will do very well in the marketplace.
Of course, now that we’re done with this version, we’re immediately starting work on the next release. So while we get a little breathing space, it’s going to be right back to the grind for another 6 months. I’ll be busy — but busy is good.
