First tooth/ongoing fun, fun, fun

Ally got her first tooth at the end of September. It’s the bottom right and we’re wondering if the other one is going to make an appearance. She might look like an old hockey player if this keeps up. We’ve started her on some oatmeal and rice cereal. It seems that more of it gets into her than on her bib, clothes, face, and hair so we declare it a success. She’s also sitting up very well, hardly bonking at all.

Tonight is a banner night - we put them both down in the same room at bedtime. Ally cried a little and Cole said “it’s ok, it’s ok” and sang “Ally galoo,” a song he learned in music class, to her. It worked quite well! All quiet on the bedroom front after only a couple of minutes.

Cole dropped a bunch of his markers this morning. He got very sad and told me “Mommy, I need a whole bunch of hands!”

Cole continues to love preschool, bringing home all kinds of artwork that makes him very proud. He’s started talking about some of the other kids and he always talks about the teachers. He goes down the slide when they go outside, sits crisscross applesauce during circle time and has learned a bunch of new songs. We’re not quite sure what else he does there - he only tells us so much.

His birthday party was a smashing success - he had a great time. He’s been wearing his birthday crown off and on since and singing happy birthday to himself into the little recorder that Grandmom and Grandpop gave him. They and Uncle Jimmy visited for a couple of days and Cole hasn’t stopped talking about it.
